About Kelwon Cottage

Once the cottage of a blacksmith working on the Kensington Estate, Kelwon Cottage dates back some 200 years. Uniquely restored the original features and antique furnishings balance beautifully with modern conveniences. The beamed ceilings and inglenook fireplace ensure a cosy atmosphere throughout the year, stairs from the sitting room lead up to the pretty bedrooms with luxurious white linen and local woollen throws complimented by contemporary bathroom and ensuite. The modern fitted kitchen opens to a rear paved patio and enclosed garden, a wonderful sheltered and sunny spot with gated access to field and children’s play area.

Just over a mile from St Brides Beach and approximately 4 miles from Marloes Sands, this cottage is within easy reach to nearby beaches and coastal walks. The water sports centre at Dale is ideal for learning new skills, enjoy the sheltered harbour, local pub and Yatcht Club, a trip from St Martin's Haven to Skomer Island to see the puffins and amazing bird and wildlife is a must of any trip, or enjoy a meal at one of the excellent restaurants in the picturesque village nestling round the sandy cove of Little Haven, all are within easy reach.

Discounts available for a couple, out of season on request.

Orlandon Cottages, four charming period cottages set on their own pretty hamlet green surrounded by farmland and stunning views. Ideal for families or large groups to get together, each has been individually designed and renovated to a very high standard, yet retaining their own charm and character. Furnished with beautiful antique pieces to reflect a cosy rustic feel while the modern bathrooms and fitted kitchens give a contemporary twist. Crisp white Egyptian linen add a feeling of luxury, complimented with throws and scatter cushions in warm natural hues from the local woollen mill, Melin Tregwynt to give a truly Welsh feel. They all have secluded south facing gardens and access to a children’s play area in the field with a wooden assault course, a basket swing and room to play football. It is a great communal area for all of the cottages to use. A 1 mile footpath takes you to Marloes and the popular pub, The Lobster Pot. Dale is 3 miles away, enjoy a meal at the award-winning, Griffin. A 15 minute walk takes you to the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and tranquil sheltered cove of St Brides where children will enjoy playing in the rock pools and crabbing. With the Puffin shuttle bus running past your door Orlandon Cottages have easy access to Dale with its water sports centre, the golden sands of Marloes, the boat trips from St Martins Haven to the puffins on Skomer Island - a bird watchers and walkers delight, and the fishing village of Little Haven which offers a choice of restaurants/pubs.

I would give 5 starts for both the booking experience and the cottage itself. We were very late arriving due to thunderstorms all the way from Cumbria where set out from. I rang your office to explain we'd be later than the last check-in time and you kindly conveyed this to the owner. When we eventually found our way in the dark to this fairly remote cottage we found the lights had been put on, the key was in the door, and there was a welcome pack for us and our dog. Next day the owner came to check we were all right. We certainly were, it was a lovely cottage in a little hamlet, beautifully furnished and with all the facilities we could want, including a dishwasher (which is my must-have for a holiday) and a woodburner with ample fuel supplied. There was a pretty back garden, securely fenced for our dog, but also a play field we could use to exercise her. We very much enjoyed our first experience of Pembrokeshire and intend to return before long; it's a beautiful county with a series of amazing sandy beaches. We loved everything about our stay, and were very reluctant to leave. Thank you to everyone concerned.
